This antique gold medal features approximately 2.70 ctw of chunky old mine cut diamonds and guilloche enamel. Most likely made in France, the Royal order was the kingdom's equivalent to the French Legion of Honor. French officials and officers received it for a minimum of 9 hrs of service in Indochina. This piece comes with an antique presentation box lined with rich purple velvet and silk. This piece measures 1 3/4” x 1 1/2” from the top of the bail to the ottom of the pendant. 
As this piece is well over 100 years old, it does show some wear consistent with it's age but does not detract from the beauty of this piece! Early Victorian/ late Georgian period with beautiful scalloped edges.
